Transaction Manager

AgReserves, Inc. is seeking a Land Transaction Manager to join our investment team. This role will be highly focused on strategic real estate investments in agricultural property. A successful candidate will apply in-depth knowledge of agricultural real estate markets and transactions to source, evaluate, negotiate, complete due diligence and close agricultural investment opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Research, analyze, identify, negotiate, and source potential agricultural acquisitions.
• Function as the farmland acquisition and real estate expert which includes becoming an expert in operational, financial, and other relevant resources.
• Advise and make presentations to leadership on market trends, land values, and long-term investment opportunities.
• Coordinate with the legal and records teams in document preparation, contract execution, and recording of each transaction.
• Conduct due diligence and communicate investment status (including an informed view of risks and value) to executives, field team, and external partners throughout due diligence.
• Assist with the analysis of potential dispositions.
• Participate with portfolio and individual asset valuations.
• Maintain records in accordance with existing systems and processes.
• Develop and maintain relationships with industry leaders, real estate contacts, appraisers, and other Ag investment companies.
• Represent the company in a professional and respectful manner in internal and external interactions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Agri-business, Business Management, or related subject required. Real estate or appraisal license plus.
• 8 years of relative experience in real estate investments with 3 years in agricultural real estate investments.
• Knowledge of potential environmental hazards and remediation processes.
• Strong demonstrated communications, interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills.
• Advanced organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks.
• Solid leadership skills with good judgement and integrity.
• Competent computer skills including MS Office tools and ability to learn new systems, software and programs.
• Ability to travel, up to 25%, to and from properties including properties in remote areas with limited services.
