Assisting the feedyards with the nutrition and health of growing cattle, PerforMix Nutrition Systems is an Agri Beef subsidiary that assists in developing balanced diets for our cattle-along with other beef and dairy cattle throughout the Northwest-with the guidance of first-class cattle nutritionists. PerforMix develops and produces the highest quality feed supplements on the market. The company is comprised of nutritionists, a logistics fleet, sales force, quality control managers, and administrative support. This team understands that proper nutrition is key to the production of exceptional Northwest beef.
PerforMix is looking for a Customer Service & Accounting Specialist in our Rupert, Idaho plant. The Customer Service & Accounting Specialist is an integral part of the PerforMix team and is responsible for serving both internal and external customers via phone, resolving customer issues, coordinating order timing with transportation department, and maintaining accurate information in company software programs. This position is also responsible for general accounting functions such as AP/AR. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to incorporate many different perspectives in decision making, and the capacity for juggling multiple tasks at one time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer incoming calls from both internal and external customers
- Complete order entry
- Process invoices daily
- Solve problems for both customers and nutritional consultants
- Track customer usage of PNS products and schedule loads for delivery
- Maintain information in DAX (tank sizes, specific gravity, items, deliveries, etc.)
- Coordinate order timing with transportation department
- Maintain return and customer product run out logs
- Set up new customers in DAX and SharePoint and maintain information
- Update DAX and Covansys with HIN number information
- Bill Nutritional Consultants and their customers for feed samples
- Maintain customer product pricing
- Update intercompany pricing & send notifications to respective feedlots monthly
- Process A/R statements for specified customers
- Maintain a positive attendance record by demonstrating consistent and punctual attendance on a regular basis
- Perform other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong computer skills required; must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and possess the ability to learn custom software programs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- OR minimum of one (1) year of related experience
- AP/AR experience preferred; experience working with accounting software desired
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field preferred
