Assisting the feed yards with the nutrition and health of growing cattle, PerforMix Nutrition Systems is an Agri Beef Subsidiary that assists in developing balanced diets for  our cattle-along with other beef and dairy cattle throughout the Northwest-with the guidance of first-class cattle nutritionists. PerforMix develops and produces the highest quality feed supplements on the market. The company is comprised of nutritionists, a logistics fleet, sales force, quality control managers, and administrative support. This team understands that proper nutrition is key to the production of exceptional Northwest beef. 

PerforMix Nutrition in Fruitland, Idaho, is looking for a Feed Operation Supervisor

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct employee evaluations, provide compensation recommendations, and oversee staff in production.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing production staff, keeping them informed on safety standards, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and GMPs.
• Supervise and coordinate production staff and activities, ensuring efficient plant operations and high-quality standards.
• Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to plan and implement preventive and scheduled maintenance and cleaning, supporting equipment reliability.
• Increase facility productivity and efficiency while adhering to safety protocols, SFSF regulations, and quality control guidelines.
• Assist in the oversight of plant inventory, participate in materials management processes, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and concerns.
• Ensure compliance with company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and assist management in policy design and communication. Maintain a strong attendance record through consistent and punctual presence.
• Promote a safe working environment by following and enforcing safety standards.
• Operate a forklift on demand and ensure all safety protocols are followed when handling equipment.
• Participate in ongoing training as required and perform additional tasks as assigned. Assist in preventative and scheduled maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Basic math skills and computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn custom software programs.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of related experience in a supervisory role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Employee is regularly required to both stand and sit for extended periods of time
• The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; occasionally required to use hands to handle, grasp or feel; will occasionally need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds from floor to waist
• Employee must be able to climb 30-ft ladders at a time and work above floor level at different levels of height
• The employee will be exposed to the outdoor temperature
