What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packager position at Agri-Kind NJ?
Overview:
Packaging personnel are responsible for ensuring all extraction and flower-based products are properly and effectively packaged, stickered, and labelled. This position is entry level and will report to the Packaging Manager. In this position employees will be responsible for working in a fast-paced environment, and in a team environment. Prior to product being delivered, a Packager / Laborer ensures that items comply with New Jersey Department of Health standards.
Responsibilities:
o Follow all packaging, labelling, and stickering protocols—ensuring all items are tampered, provided with a terpene label, and equipped with all necessary fixtures
o Weigh and box product, filling boxes with dispensary orders
o Keeping records of batches, filling inventory, and properly using the filling machine to package flower
o Ensure all items going out for shipment meet all requirements and regulations, as well as counting and re-counting inventory to ensure quota is met
o Transporting items to and from the storage unit, handling inventory, and meeting daily quotas
o Ongoing training on various machines and equipment
o Apply and ensure accuracy of coordinating patient related compliance labels to outgoing orders
o Work is performed in manufacturing and lab settings with biohazards/various chemicals
o Demonstrate a good attitude and strong initiative, along with a positive work ethic
o Set up workstation according to daily goals established by the Packaging Manager, and other managers
o Verify quality control standards are being met at every phase of the operation
o Perform in a manner consistent with company goals and values.
o Other duties as assigned.
