Our dairy cooperative is seeking a full-time (40 hours/week) opening as a third shift (8p-4a) Cold Storage (Forklift) Operator at our Middlebury, VT location. Position starts at $24.65/hour, plus 7%-10% night differential (based on actual hours worked) and has increases every 6 months for 2 years (based on performance).
This position will be responsible for moving packaged cheese into warehouse cool down rooms. Relieves the rest of the team in the packaging of cheese into 640lb blocks or 40lb boxes or within support roles in production. This will also include maintaining a sanitary work environment, insuring accurate records, verifying weight tags are attached and legible to each block, and understanding specific SOP’s and product specifications. Running a palletizer & cleaning the area is also required.
As needed, will be expected to make boxes and jump in the on the cheese line to help the overall team. With that expectation, it required the ability to lift 50lbs. and push/pull 55lbs on a regular basis.
