What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic position at Agri-Mark/Cabot Creamery?
Our dairy cooperative is seeking a regular, full-time Maintenance Mechanic at our Chateaugay, NY location for second shift (3:00p -11:00p) and third shift (11:00p – 7:00a). Flexibility required including working some overtime and scheduled holidays. The starting rate is $27.25 per hour.
The selected individual will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance to ensure there are minimal disruptions to production. Individuals will be able to demonstrate basic skills performance in several of the primary maintenance functions. Electronics, Plumbing, Mechanical, Welding/Stick-black iron-stainless steel-aluminum, Welding/Tig-stainless steel pipe (sanitary)-aluminum, Refrigeration. Schedule flexibility necessary, willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and rotating shift, as required by business needs.
Qualifications include:
- Excellent troubleshooting ability as well as making repairs safely, timely and accurately.
- Experience working in an industrial environment.
- Well versed in pneumatics, hydraulics, servicing motors, gear boxes and other general equipment maintenance.
- Strong safety record and awareness.
- Ambition to learn and mentor others working both independently and as a dedicated team member.
- Industrial electrical and welding experience a plus!
