Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- All inbound shipments are moved safely to storage locations to be efficiently stacked as stored merchandise.
- Responsible for fulling customer orders (internal and external) and ensure that the correct product number and quantity of product are picked.
- Transport orders to shipping locations with material handling equipment such as but not limited to fork lifts or pallet jacks while following all company safety standards.
- Compare quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure out-going shipments are complete and correct. Efficiently move product, cartons and or pallets into trailers or containers.
- Maintain and operate equipment safety and efficiently and comply with all company safety standards and procedures.
- Operate scan gun, printers, and computers in order to process orders and required paperwork.
- Keep accurate inventory records and reports. Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts.
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.
- Maintain clean, neat and organized work area.
- Customer focus to meet customer requirements, customer satisfaction and quality objectives.
- Any and all other duties assigned by management
Qualifications & Education Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED; or 1-3 years of related warehouse/forklift experience or equivalent combination
- Forklift certification a plus
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals.
