Warehouse Material Handler (Full Time)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• All inbound shipments are moved safely to storage locations to be efficiently stacked as stored merchandise.
• Responsible for fulling customer orders (internal and external) and ensure that the correct product number and quantity of product are picked.
• Transport orders to shipping locations with material handling equipment such as but not limited to fork lifts or pallet jacks while following all company safety standards.
• Compare quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure out-going shipments are complete and correct. Efficiently move product, cartons and or pallets into trailers or containers.
• Maintain and operate equipment safety and efficiently and comply with all company safety standards and procedures.
• Operate scan gun, printers, and computers in order to process orders and required paperwork.
• Keep accurate inventory records and reports. Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.
• Maintain clean, neat and organized work area.
• Customer focus to meet customer requirements, customer satisfaction and quality objectives.
• Any and all other duties assigned by management

• High School Diploma/GED; or 1-3 years of related warehouse/forklift experience or equivalent combination
• Forklift certification a plus
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
