We are currently seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team in Pigeon, MI. This is a full-time, in-person position where you will be responsible for installing and configuring software, ensuring network security through the installation and administration of firewalls and troubleshooting all aspects of the Agri-Valley Communications, Inc. (AVCI) internal and external networks. This position requires a general working knowledge of all services provided by Agri-Valley Communications, Inc. including but not limited to 4G LTE, IP, SIP, DSL, wireless data, and fiber optic networks. Some additional duties of the position are listed below.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Implements, configures, and maintains all aspects of AVCI network infrastructure and assists in resolving network related issues.
- Supports all AVCI operations by monitoring all servers, applications, network devices, and connections, using specific tools.
- Serves as Tier I response for network issues and as Tier III for all escalated customer complaints.
- Evaluates new hardware as needed and maintains existing inventory.
- Creates and defines network requirements for new products, including technical documentation for all relevant processes and technologies.
- Responsible for administering, as set forth by company policies and procedures, all security measures to control internal/external access to the corporate network.
- Ensures repairs and maintenance are performed on network hardware correctly, efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Monitors network performance and capacity and provides required reporting on a consistent and regular basis.
- Serves as a main contact between AVCI and Cybersecurity vendor and coordinates recommendations.
- Ensures the organizations data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls.
- Other duties as requested or required by management.
