Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and organized individual to join our team in a Farm Operations opportunity. This role will involve managing grain handling tasks, ensuring accurate inventory tracking, maintaining warehouse organization, and overseeing shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage grain handling operations, including filling, reclaiming, and transferring grain products as required.
- Maintain an accurate, real-time inventory system to ensure product availability and reduce discrepancies.
- Perform routine maintenance on grain legs and bins, including climbing for inspections and inventory checks.
- Restock supplies and inventory, placing orders as necessary to ensure continuous operation.
- Input purchase order data into the inventory control system for accurate recordkeeping.
- Accept and verify incoming shipments, ensuring that deliveries meet company standards and documenting the details.
- Inspect deliveries, report defects or discrepancies, and return defective items to suppliers as needed.
- Process invoices and provide necessary information to the accounting department for payment and financial recordkeeping.
- Keep the warehouse organized and clean, ensuring that products are stored safely and accessibly.
- Address any customer complaints related to shipments, promptly notifying the supervisor of any issues with shipping or receiving.
- Ensure compliance with all government regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in warehouse or grain handling operations is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Knowledge of inventory control systems or willingness to learn.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills, especially in handling shipment discrepancies and inventory issues.
- Ability to climb and perform physical maintenance tasks at height (grain legs and bins).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
