Summary This position is located in USDA-Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), National Finance Center (NFC), Administrative Management Staff, Support Services Office (SSO). The incumbent will primarily be responsible for a variety of general support services functions that are essential for orderly and efficient accomplishments of the services rendered by the SSO. This is a developmental position leading to the full performance level of Student Trainee (Support Services Assistant) GS-0303-07. Responsibilities Provides administrative support to the National Finance Center as primary point-of-contact for the Facility and Administrative Services Teams help desk operations. Use office Microsoft Office software and computer equipment to enter, correct, and retrieve factual information, compile reports, produce charts and graphs, or monitor project or program status. INTERNSHIP PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY You must meet the definition of a student that is, enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited technical or vocational school, two-year or four-year college or university, graduate or professional school. You must be taking at least a half-time academic course load leading to a degree or certificate. A certificate program is defined as a post-secondary education, in a qualifying educational institution, equivalent to at least one academic year of full-time study that is part of an accredited college level, technical, trade, vocational, or business school curriculum. Upon completion of all program requirements, Pathways Interns may be converted to a term, career-conditional or career appointment within 120 days following successful completion of all their education; however, conversion is not guaranteed.
