IT Manager

AgriPlex Genomics was formed in 2014 in Cleveland, Ohio, to create a targeted sequencing and genotyping platform for large populations that is accessible and affordable to the community.

Our multiplexed, Next-Generation PlexSeq™ platform provides simultaneous analysis of any number of DNA samples. PlexSeq™ supports plant and animal breeders by greatly improving throughput and efficiency while significantly reducing costs.

AgriPlex Genomics partners with plant and animal breeders from the industry, academia, government, and non-government organizations, to provide crucial genotype data for the development of healthier and more productive crops and livestock. We are seeking an experienced IT professional to manage our IT Operations to ensure the efficiency, continuity, improvement, and security of our systems. The successful candidate will be technically strong with a proven track record in management and a collaborative approach to problem solving.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Supervise and lead the IT team to ensure effective management of all IT operations including computing servers, networks, data security, externally sourced software, and IT hardware.

· Support software development initiatives to successfully implement new software versions in existing systems

· Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruption

· Establish efficiency and efficacy standards for IT infrastructure

· Analyze IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.

· Oversee security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.

· Facilitate IT security audits and/or investigations.

· Develop and maintain relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.

· Coordinate multi-site IT systems via enterprise resource planning (ERP).

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Proficient in the latest technology for IT systems and management.

· Extensive experience setting up and maintaining computing servers.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills including thorough documentation.

· Excellent interpersonal and management skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering

· 5 years of experience in management as an IT professional.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
