General Purpose:
We are looking for a skilled accounting professional who is highly skilled in Excel, including advanced formulas, automation, and data analytics who will also thrive in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is a true team player who can seamlessly integrate into our company culture, communicate effectively with colleagues via Microsoft Teams, and contribute to a dynamic, collaborative work environment. This role offers the opportunity for growth potential. The Accountant reports to the General Ledger Lead.
Essential Functions:

- Collaborate with leadership to align financial goals with business objectives.
- Drive automation initiatives to streamline reporting and reduce manual tasks.
- Prepares various daily, monthly, quarterly, and/or annual financial reports or statements.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills (Power Query, PivotTables, VBA, automation tools) to enhance financial data management.
- Gathers, reviews, and analyzes statistical information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making.
- Performs complex account reconciliations.
- Records routine and recurring transactions.
- Performs the roles of other members of the Accounting Department as necessary.
- Assist with audits, reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.
- Communicate with others in the organization to answer accounting questions or resolve issues.
- Performs other duties as required and necessary to ensure the success of AgriVision Equipment Group and PrairieLand Partners (AVE-PLP, LLC).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., Power Query, advanced formulas, automation tools).

- Ability to provide a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, meet deadlines, and multi-task.
- PC skills utilizing Windows applications (especially Word and Excel) as well as ability to learn other accounting software systems.
- Knowledge of accounting systems.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
Education:
- An associate degree is required.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
Experience:
- 3 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or data analytics.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process is required.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Passing a driving record (MVR), criminal history background checks, employment verification, and drug screen will be required prior to the start of employment.
