What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture-related field
- Have or ability to obtain a Michigan Commercial Applicator License
- Field plot research experience
- Row Crop Experience
- Proficient computer skills in a variety of programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite and Zoom
- High focus on attention to detail
- Positive attitude and work ethic
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to stand; sit; lift; squat; stoop and move up to 50 pounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with NCRS team members to deliver detailed experimental protocols that enable high-quality data delivery to our partners
- Operate research equipment, including large machinery, specialized planters, modified commercial harvesters, and commercial drones.
- Assist NCRS with research operations including but not limited to plot establishment, scouting, and collection of data through harvest.
- Data Management – Enter and evaluate data and provide strategy for written and oral presentation.
- Analyze experiment results, conduct statistical analysis, and preliminary review of reports, and research plot protocol.
- Innovate and experiment with new technologies to drive research advancements
- Assist with annual maintenance and updates of equipment
- Maintaining computerized Records of operational tasks
- Maintain and operate aerial data collection devices
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and protocols at all times.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Responsible for other duties as deemed necessary by management.
