What’s involved in this role:
We are looking for a Whey Lead in Lake Norden, SD.
The Whey Lead provides leadership and direction for whey team members in department operations and sanitation to meet internal and external customer needs and maintain high quality product standards
Be able to run all equipment within the department.
Help cover major department projects, sock changes and dryer CIP’s.
Starting at $31.53/hour
2-2-3 schedule, rotating monthly between days and nights: 6am-6pm, 6pm-6am
$1.50 nighttime differential pay
Double time on Sunday
Holiday pay
What you need to join our team:
Minimum one (1) year of manufacturing experience required, preferably in a food/dairy environment.
Experience with troubleshooting equipment preferred.
Forklift Certification required.
Ability to work with minimum supervision, adapt to a changing environment quickly, and think independently.
Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Our Lake Norden, SD, plant is home to approximately 450 employees and boasts a brand new, state of the art cheese and whey facility. We produce mozzarella, provolone, parmesan, romano, asiago, and Monterey Jack cheeses as well as various whey streams.
