Job Description
The Loss Prevention Intern works closely with the Safety Manager and other members of the Plant Leadership team on various tasks and projects to help ensure plant compliance with all rules and regulations. This role involves ensuring safe building and equipment upkeep as well as modeling and providing training on safe behavior for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Assignments
This role will involve identifying and implementing ways to make safety procedures and information available to employees. Additionally, you will update training modules and quizzes, perform gap analyses for and update safety policies and procedures, assist with incident and near miss investigations, participate in professional development opportunities, validate Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures, Confined Space procedures, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must currently be enrolled in an Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree or Master's program in Occupational, Environmental Safety & Health; Risk Management; or related program as a candidate for graduation. You should possess sound decision-making skills, be results-driven, and have strong interpersonal skills. Additionally, you should be able to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment and possess basic math skills and computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook, and field-specific software.

- Learn about the Agropur business model and champion a system of improvements to increase employee safety and health.
