- Supervise, plan, and carry out assigned process and / or product development projects.
- Conduct research and development activities to create new food products or improve existing ones.
- Conduct product trials, run development samples, and create initial product specifications; providing or sourcing information (product characteristics, costs, measurements, ingredients, etc.).
- Participate in product sensory trials using internal and external panels.
- Apply corporate R&D policies and procedures.
- Identify new technologies of relevance for the organization.
- Identify and act on opportunities to reduce costs or optimize the performance of our products and processes.
- Act as a technical resource to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure liaison and collaboration with raw manufacturing plants to resolve issues and / or complaints.
- Help analyze information to support the development of new products.
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations in coordination with Regulatory.
- Other related duties as assigned or required.What you need to join our team
- A.Sc. in Food Science, Food engineering or a related Science discipline
- 3 years of experience in R&D or product development for a food manufacturer, preferably in dairy food
- Willingness to travel as required
- Flexibility to work irregular hours when required
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft programs
