This position manages warehouse operations and inventory control for the OKC facility. Responsibilities
- Exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
- Provides leadership, mentoring and support for warehouse personnel
- Creates a high-functioning team through people development, cross-training, and employee involvement in improvement activities
- Ensures rapid fulfillment of customer orders and manages backorder communication and fulfillment
- Responsible for inventory control with an expectation of inventory accuracy >97%
- Uses lean warehousing techniques to drive continuous improvement in warehouse operations.
- Achieves high level knowledge of ERP system and utilizes the tools to create more efficient warehouse operations
- Owns warehouse setup parameters in the ERP system and makes sure physical changes are reflected in the system
- Works in conjunction with sourcing team to ensure reorder triggers are maintained in the ERP system; recommends changes based on slow moving or fast-growing items
- Aligns inventory management processes with compliance requirements such as UL, Johnson Act, and internal compliance approvals
- Transfers knowledge and best practices to other AGS manufacturing facilities.
- Manages local contractor and service providers for the OKC facility. Works with requestors to understand requirements, specifications, services, and timing.
- Bachelor's degree plus in Supply Chain, Finance or Engineering degree preferred; or equivalent work experience
- 2 years’ warehouse management experience in a similar role
- 5 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry
- Inventory and warehouse management experience
- Experience using ERP systems to manage and report on inventory and warehouse operations
- Experience managing a warehouse in a Lean Manufacturing organization
- Experience negotiating with local, regional contractors and service providers
- Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) a plus
- Experienced with ERP systems, Microsoft Office and shipping management systems
