AGS-Capital is a small venture fund seeking an Accounting / Assistant Controller to join our team. This individual will be responsible for assisting in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for the fund. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Bookkeeping, bank reconciliations
- Property tax payment, insurance coverage
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Conduct financial analysis to support investment decisions
- Payroll Audits
- Prepare investor reports and presentations
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Support the Controller in all accounting and finance-related tasks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA qualification preferred - 2-4 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the investment industry
- Strong knowledge of financial principles and accounting standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
