Position Summary:
The Executive Director is responsible for the overall management and operation of the independent senior living community. This leadership role involves overseeing all aspects of the community, including financial performance, resident satisfaction, staff management, compliance with regulations, and development of programs that promote community engagement. The Executive Director will create a strong vision and culture that aligns with our mission and values while ensuring a safe, caring, and enjoyable environment for all residents.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Management:
- Provide visionary leadership, guiding the community’s operations and team to fulfill our mission and values.
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of staff members, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development for team members.
2. Resident Engagement and Satisfaction:
- Develop and implement programs and services that enhance resident engagement, satisfaction, and quality of life.
- Address resident concerns and feedback promptly and effectively, ensuring a high standard of resident care and service.
- Promote a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that encourages community participation among residents.
3. Financial Management:
- Oversee the community’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and maintaining profitability.
- Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to achieve operational and financial goals.
- Ensure efficient management of resources, including staffing, supplies, and facility maintenance.
4. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that the community operates in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as the highest standards of safety and care.
- Maintain required licensing and certifications, completing necessary reports and documentation timely and accurately.
5. Community Relations and Marketing:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with families, community partners, and local healthcare providers.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the community and enhance its reputation.
- Represent the community at events, meetings, and network opportunities to expand visibility and outreach.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior living or healthcare management, with at least 2 years in an executive leadership role.
- Proven track record of successful operational management, financial oversight, and team leadership.
- Strong understanding of the independent senior living industry, regulations, and best practices.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Compassionate, resident-focused approach with a passion for improving the lives of seniors.
- Ability to build relationships with various stakeholders, including residents, families, staff, and community partners.
