Job Summary:
As a Part-Time Server, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents enjoy a positive dining experience in our community dining room. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving meals, and providing outstanding customer service in a warm and welcoming environment. This position is perfect for individuals who have a passion for working with seniors and strive to make a difference in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet residents and guests with a friendly demeanor and a warm smile.
- Present menus and explain daily specials to residents.
- Take meal orders accurately and efficiently.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Assist residents with special dietary needs, preferences, and allergies as necessary.
- Clear tables and clean dining areas between meals.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down the dining area before and after meal service.
- Build positive relationships with residents and encourage social interactions during meals.
- Communicate any resident concerns to the dining services manager.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe dining environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role is preferred, but not required.
- A passion for working with seniors and providing excellent customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to handle a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
