Job Description:

• AGS Protect Inc is providing Armed and Unarmed security services to multiple residential buildings throughout the downtown Los Angeles area requiring 24/7 security presence to ensure occupant safety and property rules compliance. Officers will conduct walking interior & exterior patrols of the property checking for fire, life & safety concerns. Officers will be supported by a 24/7 call center.
• The Rapid Response Team will be conducting hourly patrols of each location as well as respond to calls for assistance from the onsite officers.
• Officers may be required to deal with quality-of-life issues utilizing de-escalation tactics to maintain compliance and may result in private persons’ arrest.

Requirements to address prior to applying:

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• PRIOR POST Certification of California Peace Officers Standards & Training or 832 PC Training or a federal government equivalent.
• Current BSIS Guard Card.
• Current BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit.
• Valid CA Driver’s License and the ability to pass an MVR in order to be insured to operate a company vehicle.
• Proficient Speaking, Typing and Writing skills.
• Ability to observe and report an incident; contacting local law enforcement authorities or emergency medical services when necessary.
• Phone and/or computer literate in order to operate a device used to complete patrol reports.
• The ability to professionally engage the general public with excellent customer service skills to give direction/information.
• Reliable transportation (Personal or Public transportation).
• Reliable means of communication (i.e. home phone, cell phone, email).
• Pass a criminal background evaluation and pre-employment drug screening.
• Be able to work overtime and on various shifts as needed; including weekends and holidays.

• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of standing and/or sitting, walking, climbing stairs, etc. for a full shift.

Other extremely helpful attributes include:

• Former and current military, law enforcement, and/or certified security professionals are highly encouraged to apply.
• Previous management skills and the ability to respond to other security professionals in need of assistance.
