Agronomy Accounting Team Lead
An Agronomy Accounting Team Lead is a professional who plays a crucial role in the financial management and accounting functions within AgState’s agronomy department. You will lead a team of accounting professionals responsible for accurately recording, reconciling, and reporting agronomy transactions, inventory, and financial data. This role requires a strong understanding of agronomic products and practices, accounting principles, team leadership, and effective communication.

You will:
- Lead the AgState agronomy accounting by:
- Managing all aspects of the AgState accounting activities related to agronomy operations by overseeing the recording of inbound product purchases, sales to growers and overall inventory.
- Have knowledge of all pricing strategies and customer contracting.
- Accurately value our agronomy position during the month-end and year-end close process.
- Ability to create and maintain agronomy processes across the entire company.
- Work with the Agronomy VP to generate various risk reporting and implement internal controls to mitigate risk.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and applicable vendor reporting.
- Compile necessary long/short reporting.
- Ability to analysis the resources needed to make informed decisions.
- Effectively prioritize projects and tasks, efficiently delegates, coordinates, and utilizes the resources within the company.
- Lead and abide by the AgState values by:
- Demonstrate work habits that develop, build, and support the team concept within the organization.
- Back up other functions within the office as requested.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
