MARKETING SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

In this position, you will serve to develop and maintain relationships with growers and producers within the AgState territory that will lead the grain procurement efforts at our Ellsworth feed mill. Additionally, you will serve as a consultant as well as an advisor to producers about the market programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Always utilize good customer service skills, when servicing and greeting customers, and when working with co-workers and other departments within the company.
- Develop sales and marketing techniques to enhance the service to current customers and procurement of new customers.
- Up to 75% of time devoted to on-farm sales calls.
- Must have thorough knowledge of AgState grain programs and policies, along with the ability to describe them to customers.
- Provide and conduct training needs of grain, transportation and farmer marketing programs to employees and producers.
- Abide with state and federal rules and regulations, monitors grain contracts to ensure compliance and works with the auditors to respond to questions and provide appropriate information.
- Scheduling and organizing producer marketing meetings.
- Answer the phone and work with producers, responding to pricing questions, selling, settlements, customer pricings, etc.
- Up to 65% of time devoted to on-farm sales calls.
- Provide and conduct training needs of grain, transportation, and farm marketing programs to employees and producers.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree (B.A) from a four-year college or university; or five to ten years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
