What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Supervisor position at AgState?
- Execute routine operations of a grain/agronomy facility, ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee and environmental compliance.
- Partner with other supervisors to meet customer specifications and timeline.
- Develop operational plans and monitor routine operations for all production processes.
- Assist in operating fertilizer plants and mixing chemicals for application.
- Prepare rail car and load cars according to specifications.
- Fill customer fertilizer orders according to the orders, run samples to ensure compliance with order, as well as Federal regulations, help load vehicles with product, and maintain inventory records.
- Train people to ensure location meets various government standards such as OSHA and AgState by conducting employee meetings to inform and educate.
- Prepare weekly inventory reports for various departments and assist location leaders with supplies, quality, and age of inventory.
- Perform general housekeeping--sweep and clean--facility to maintain appropriate dust levels and maintain AgState image.
