Job Summary :
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director to lead and oversee operations at our Third-Party Logistics (3PL) company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, operational execution, and team leadership to ensure that the company consistently delivers superior logistics solutions for our clients. This role will require a balance of high-level strategic oversight and hands-on operational management.
The Director will work to optimize processes, manage key customer relationships, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead initiatives to drive revenue growth and operational efficiency in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
Key Responsibilities : Strategic Leadership :
- Develop and execute the company’s strategic objectives to ensure long-term success.
- Identify market trends, opportunities, and challenges to position the company competitively within the logistics sector.
- Drive business growth by expanding service offerings, acquiring new clients, and maintaining relationships with existing customers.
Operational Management :
Implement best practices to optimize supply chain performance and improve cost efficiency.Ensure high-quality customer service through timely delivery and accurate order processing.Team Leadership :
Build, lead, and inspire a team of logistics professionals across multiple departments.Set performance goals, provide mentorship, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.Ensure proper training and development programs are in place to support employee growth.Financial Oversight :
Prepare and manage budgets, forecast operational costs, and ensure profitability.Analyze financial data to assess the company’s performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.Collaborate with the finance team to develop pricing strategies for services.Compliance and Risk Management :
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.Proactively manage risks, including transportation delays, inventory issues, and supply chain disruptions.Maintain a strong focus on environmental sustainability and ethical practices.Technology and Innovation :
Leverage technology and data analytics to enhance operational performance and decision-making.Stay abreast of advancements in logistics and supply chain technology to implement innovative solutions.Oversee the integration of new systems or software to streamline operations.Qualifications : Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or 3PL operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Skills and Competencies :
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and drive results.In-depth knowledge of logistics, warehousing, transportation, and supply chain processes.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven decision-making approach.Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships while achieving operational excellence.Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Additional Requirements :
