Job Title: Grain Location Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Management: Lead and manage staff at the location, providing direction, guidance, coaching, and feedback to ensure smooth operations.
- Team Development: Foster an inclusive and collaborative work environment, participating in employee training and team meetings.
- Timecard Management: Oversee the accurate tracking and management of timecards for all direct reports.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations, including OSHA, DOT, vehicle safety policies, and PGP procedures.
- Grain Operations: Manage the unloading, loading, and handling of grain commodities while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Customer Relationships: Build and maintain trust with new and existing customers, promoting PGP’s grain marketing products and services that align with their needs.
- Sales and Marketing: Work with grain merchandisers to plan and execute marketing updates, sales programs, and grain sales strategies to grow volume and revenue.
- Facility Management: Maintain a profitable operation by conducting regular walk-throughs, managing staffing, overseeing expenses, and maximizing revenue.
- Business Planning: Develop an annual business plan to help forecast and manage the financial performance of the location.
- Additional Responsibilities: Participate in various facility tasks, including meetings, training, community relations, and other duties as assigned by upper management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (2 years) in a related field, or a combination of education and experience.
- Eligibility: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and demonstrate English proficiency.
- Pre-Employment Requirements: Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with safety regulations (OSHA, EPA) and best practices related to grain handling and operations.
- Management Skills: Knowledge of supervisory principles, budgeting, program planning, and performance evaluation.
- Communication: Ability to build effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using computer software and systems.
- Adaptability: Ability to handle stressful situations, think on your feet, and adapt quickly.
Certifications & Licenses:
- CDL License: A valid Class A CDL or the ability to obtain one will be required. Prairie Grain Partners can assist with obtaining this certification if needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
