Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Location Manager to oversee the daily operations of our grain facility. This role is key in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and profitability of our location while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture. The ideal candidate will actively lead their team, drive operational excellence, and create opportunities for employee growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Engage the Team: Actively engage with team members, ensuring they understand their roles and the impact of their work on the overall success of the facility.
- Set Clear Performance Metrics: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for the team. Communicate these goals clearly and ensure that each team member understands how their efforts contribute to achieving them. Share performance results regularly.
- Provide Feedback and Coaching: Offer continuous feedback to employees, coaching them to improve performance and celebrate their successes. Address performance challenges quickly and consistently.
- Foster a Positive Work Environment: Celebrate wins, recognize individual and team achievements, and create an atmosphere of empowerment and collaboration.
- Drive Change and Transparency: Lead operational changes by explaining the reasoning behind changes and their impact on the team and business. Ensure transparency in decision-making processes.
- Create Development Opportunities: Provide team members with opportunities for professional growth and development, offering mentorship and guidance as needed.
- Ensure Safety and Compliance: Uphold a strong safety culture by identifying potential workplace hazards and taking corrective actions, as well as ensuring full compliance with OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage Daily Operations: Oversee all aspects of the grain facility’s operations, ensuring the facility runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently to meet production and profitability goals.
- Monitor Facility and Equipment Maintenance: Schedule and monitor the maintenance of the facility and all equipment to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of product movement and inventory to ensure proper storage and handling.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Analyze sales forecasts and operational objectives, creating and managing the operational budget to ensure the facility stays within financial parameters.
- Product Storage and Movement: Ensure that all products are stored correctly and moved efficiently within the facility, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Ensure Workplace Safety: Proactively identify and address workplace hazards to maintain a safe and compliant work environment for all employees.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven leadership and team management experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly articulate goals and provide constructive feedback.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, particularly OSHA standards, and experience managing safety compliance.
- Ability to analyze sales forecasts, operational data, and performance metrics.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, particularly in inventory management and facility upkeep.
- Ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and operational costs effectively.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
