POSITION SUMMARY The Hurman Resources Specialist in Aberdeen, SD will perform human resources functions in support of assigned programs and departments, with emphasis on payroll, benefits, leaves, onboarding, system updates and maintenance and related activities. The Human Resources Specialist supports internal processes, responds to employee inquiries, and provides administrative support and coordination of activities in the Human Resources department. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Performs HR support functions to include: Bi-weekly payroll processing: timecard approvals, assist managers with timecard questions, validate data, etc. Regularly audit payroll and benefits data to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Familiarity with state tax regulations. Benefit administration: new employee and open enrollment support; vendor invoice management; leaves, disability claims, workers compensation, tuition reimbursement. Assist new employees with benefit process and election, field questions Onboarding/Orientation Wellness programming HR Metrics and reporting HR system maintenance, data entry, validation, employee landing/information page edits Recruiting support Provides first line HR customer service to employees and applicants; responds to employee inquiries and requests. Provide support to employees regarding payroll and benefits inquiries, and conduct informational meetings about benefits. Researches best practices and recommends enhancements and modifications to existing processes to enhance efficiency and to support Agtegra’s mission and values. Other duties as assigned to support business objectives and department goals. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or comparable degree. Three or more years of related experience or combination of comparable education and experience. We are looking for a candidate with the experience listed above. However, if you possess significant experience that exceeds these requirements, we are open to considering you for a higher-level position. Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. Must be 18 years or older. English Proficiency PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with payroll, benefits administration, leaves/disability, recruitment. Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) database maintenance preferred. SHRM-CP and/or PHR Certification preferred, not required. Work has standard vision requirements. Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels. Work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data and observing general surroundings and activities.

Salary : $47,000 - $63,000
