About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior System Test Engineer to join our QA team. You will be responsible for ensuring the continued success of Agtonomy’s products as we scale our fleet of robots. You will coordinate with hardware, software, and operations teams to address weaknesses in our product and provide feedback for design improvements. This role will be based at Agtonomy’s South San Francisco facility with regular activities at a ranch in Geyserville, CA or other customer sites.
This role requires working outdoors in varied weather conditions.
\n- Create, execute, and maintain system validation suites, feature tests, and regression tests
- Build analytics for fault tracking and frequency to provide insight into software release readiness and current reliability of the physical fleet
- Define and drive test automation and HIL simulation testing
- Support customer operations, collect feedback, and resolve any technical issues
- Calibrate and test new vehicles as part of assembly validation
- Work with developers to troubleshoot issues and release new features
- Identify product issues by operating with a critical eye and knowledge of our systems
- Write detailed bug reports and document reproduction scenarios
- Create reports and analyze datasets on product performance, reliability, and maintenance
- Develop and maintain test site infrastructure
- Monitor performance of deployed autonomous vehicles
- Travel up to 25% to customer and other field sites
- Experience with integration and testing complex software and hardware systems
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical discipline and 5 years of experience in a professional and product-driven environment, or 8 years of professional experience integrating and testing complex systems
- Experience working hands-on with electrical and mechanical components
- Experience with issue & project tracking software (i.e., JIRA or Linear)
- Ability to communicate with customers in a professional manner
- Strong communication skills
- Curiosity to learn about new technology
- Experience with agriculture, land maintenance, and heavy machinery.
- An understanding of electric vehicles and software testing
- An understanding of networking technology
- Experience or basic understanding of how permanent crops are grown
- Ability to drive a truck and trailer with heavy equipment

Our interview process is generally conducted in four (4) phases:
1. Phone Screen with People Operations (30 minutes)
2. Video Interview with the Hiring Manager (45 minutes)
3. Panel Interview (Video interviews scheduled with key stakeholders, each interview will be 30 to 45 minutes)
4. Final Interviews (CEO, CFO, VP of Engineering, 30 minutes each)
Salary : $70,000 - $95,000
