Job Description Summary
The primary function is to provide Accounts Payable support to the Accounting Supervisor. In addition, performs functions in support of the Accounting Department in the process and reconciliation of a wide variety of accounting documents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
- Prepares cash requirements for approval.
- Prepares month end reconciliation of A/P and General Ledger for approval.
- Advises Accounting Supervisor of all vendor transaction inadequacies/discrepancies.
- Recommends processing and policy changes for the Accounts Payable functions.
- Trains for all A/P team members.
- Reviews A/P compliance with internal controls and recommend corrective action.
- Recommends workload allocations.
- Assists accounting staff in the daily operations as required.
- Assists Accounts Payable / General Ledger staff as required.
- Assists with data entry and special projects as assigned.
- Provide excellent guest service.
- Must adhere to all Tribal Ordinance, Regulations, and the Accounting System of Internal Controls, and Standard Operating Procedures.

Required Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- 2-3 years office experience, accounting experience preferred or combination of education and experience.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/workstation for the duration of the shift. Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.
Typically, the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
