Job Description Summary
The Procurement Manager is responsible for daily operations and ensuring the timely and efficient procurement of goods and services for the Agua Caliente Casinos. The Procurement Manager ensures that the appropriate departmental performance and metrics are established to support all business initiatives. In addition to the responsibilities listed below, the Procurement Manager will supervise, manage, mentor, and motivate team members. This person will enable effective stakeholder collaboration with other business units and vendors to achieve best-in-class procurement functions.
Essential Duties and Information (other duties may be assigned)
- Reviews and ensures that the appropriate departmental achievements and metrics are established, monitored and controlled to maximize effectiveness and mitigate risk throughout the function. Manages training, key performance indicators, analysis and reporting related to procurement operations.
- Manages the execution of daily operations and is responsible for delivering best in class performance from the procurement team.
- Supports Agua Caliente ‘s stakeholders on sourcing initiatives, leveraging procurement best practices and strategies to ensure effective implementation and execution
- Responsible for ensuring that the operational goods and services arrive when they are needed with quality, accuracy and terms that are favorable to the Tribe. Develops and implements strategies to leverage negotiations for optimum pricing, payment methods, terms and conditions, shipping, service levels, warranties and discounts
- Supports business initiatives for range of categories including facilities, marketing/advertising, information technology, and gaming products and services
- Manages and optimizes the daily use of the organization-wide automated ERP system- through item masters, profiles and categories. Ensures system data is maintained and current-open purchase orders, vendors and variances
- Continuously collaborates with Accounts Payable and Receiving to ensure consistent improvement and a smooth procure to pay cycle.
- Ensures the vendor onboarding is always in compliance in accordance with company policy
- Oversees the management of contracts and workflows for the enterprise
Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations polices and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, reviewing and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance, rewarding and discipling employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

- All Casino approved credit cards and accounts of approved vendors.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Finance/Accounting preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising a purchasing team in a gaming/hospitality environment.
- Experience purchasing food & beverage (F&B), operating supplies & equipment (OS&E), furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E) and/or maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supplies
- Proficient with Microsoft Office with emphasis in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with RedRock procurement or other procurement system software a plus
- Displays deep subject matter expert expertise in P2P with an understanding of departmental and vendor interfaces
- Must be able to communicate in English in both verbal and written form
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/workstation for the duration of the shift.
Typically, the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
