JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Ensures the security and safety of guests, team members, and tribal assets as assigned. Perform security and safety verification for all vehicles, Tribal members, visitors, vendors, and Tribal personnel entering and exiting the Tribal Administration Plaza and Tribal Courthouse. Maintain computer-generated dispatch logs and utilize proper radio transmission protocols. Monitor and record activity occurring via Closed Circuit Television.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
- Ensures the integrity of all tribal procedures
- Immediately reports suspicious or unusual activities to the proper department supervisor
- Performs security patrols of the building
- Assists in monitoring traffic as required
- Maintains and controls access to restricted areas
- Checks-in and check-out guests, vendors, visitors, and Team Members
- Performs first aid, CPR, and the use of the AED as required
- Works with local police, fire, or emergency medical teams as necessary
- Accepts any found property, keys, badges, tags for safekeeping
- Removes individuals from the tribal property when directed by a Tribal Council Member, Administrative Director, Security Manager or other executive officers
- Responsible for keeping key records and issuing sensitive keys
- Completes security incident reports for injured visitors, team members, or guests at the Tribal Administration Plaza and Tribal Courthouse
- Monitors and records an overview Tribal Enterprises activity occurring in each area via CCTV (Closed Circuit Television)
- Computer and written data entry of Daily Dispatch Activity Log to include all incidents, and other recording media changes, report logs, dispatch logs, etc.
- Work on the weekends or afterhours for Tribal Events
- Must have the ability to keep confidential information regarding the day-to-day operations
- Must adhere to all Tribal Ordinance, Regulations, and System of Internal Controls, and Standard Operating Procedures
- Performs other duties as required

Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- One (1) year experience in Law Enforcement, Security, or Military preferred
- Prior experience observing surveillance cameras
- Experience writing incident reports
- Current Guard Card or 832 PC college classes preferred
- Strong Verbal and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
- Required to obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid Certificate
- Experience in radio, telephone communications and dispatch
- Knowledge of x-ray scanner, magnetometer, and hand-held wand
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties indoor and outdoor during events, including walking up to 1 ½ mile, climbing, stairs, and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift. Also, may be subjected to a smoke-filled environment.
Typically, the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and /or carry otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
