Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Litigation Associate to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Plaintiff Insurance Claims. This role requires excellent legal research skills, proficiency in using legal research tools such as Westlaw, and the ability to write clear and persuasive legal documents. The Litigation Associate will be responsible for supporting our clients through all phases of litigation while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.
Duties
- Conduct thorough legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to ongoing litigation.
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and other parties involved in litigation.
- Prepare for court appearances by organizing case files, evidence, and witness lists.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide insights based on research findings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in laws and regulations that may impact cases.
- Assist in the management of case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and organized.
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Previous experience in Insurance litigation field is required.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw is essential.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to advocate for clients effectively.
