Job Summary

Ensures financial systems are operating efficiently, effectively and in compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations, University policy and procedures as appropriate. Ensures timeliness of transaction processing through the financial systems, integrity of data, supporting closing of the accounting period and report generation.

• Serves as the Business Analyst for assigned PeopleSoft modules. Works in the troubleshooting of issues and enhancements to financial systems. Provides updates on items noted above and recommends changes to enhance financial systems. Documents business processes, troubleshoots, investigates, tests and implements new functionality for implemented applications and PeopleSoft modules.
• Works with the Associate Controller of Financial Systems & Support Services in keeping customer service delivery consistent with the goals and objectives of the University, Division of Finance and the Office of the Controller.
• Develops and provides training to support the University community on use of existing and new modules or functionalities as implemented. Develops and supports key reports and queries; provides training on usage of those reports and queries.
• Assists with accountability ensuring financial systems are operating efficiently, effectively and in compliance with federal, state, local laws, regulations and University policies and procedures. Ensures timeliness of transaction processing and data integrity while supporting the Account Close processes.
• Assists with technology enhancements to improve customer service, accountability, human resource development and work efficiencies. Serves as a liaison between business and IT and represents Financial Systems & Support Services as Functional Lead on projects and upgrades as assigned.
• Assists with special projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in related field.
