GENERAL PURPOSE

The Per Diem Reference & Instruction Librarian provides tailored instruction in the use of library resources, both one-on-one and in a physical or virtual classroom environment. The Per Diem Reference & Instruction Librarian provides in-person and virtual reference and research assistance to students of all levels, faculty, staff, and other patrons. This position is part-time and may be required to work day, evening, or weekend shifts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Participating in daily reference shifts both in traditional (in person, phone) and virtual (chat) environments.

Teaching virtual and in-person instruction classes in research techniques, informational literacy, and library resources as scheduled.

Assisting with collection shifts.

The hiring hourly rate for this position is $40.00. This hourly rate represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
