We are in search of a Communications Advisor II to join our Marketing and Communications department in Spokane, Washington. This full-time position reports to the VP, Marketing Communications and works collaboratively to develop and execute a social media strategy and write digital communications. This role serves as a creative writer, editor, designer and video editor for social content, and collaborates daily on decisions regarding social media and other digital delivery channels.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule and one-time home office stipend after initial training period.
Compensation Information
The base salary range for this position in Spokane, Washington is $64,600 - $97,500; bonus at target is 10% of salary.

Job Requirements
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications team to develop and execute a social media strategy.
- Create and post engaging content on approved social media channels in alignment with the AgWest purpose and business and marketing plans.
- Support the development of multi-channel social media campaigns to promote AgWest programs, storytelling efforts and marketing campaigns.
- Boost social posts to enhance visibility and engagement.
- Maintain a centralized social media calendar accessible to various business teams.
- Compile and share detailed reports on social media performance and online engagement with multiple audiences, including senior leadership.
- Utilize data and analytics from various reporting systems to improve social planning.
- Attend events to capture relevant social media content and provide guidance for content capture when not present.
- Engage with branch staff to build relationships and encourage social media engagement.
- Facilitate the development of resources and facilitate training on best practices for social media engagement.
- Continuously grow knowledge of agriculture and Farm Credit system through industry events and connections.
- Use Meltwater, Yext or similar digital tools to monitor, listen and track online activity and mentions; engage with or respond to comments, within the scope of responsibility.
- Support Communications team by editing and writing reviews, as needed.
- Monitor and evaluate social media trends; make recommendations as appropriate.
- Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Generally, requires two to four years' social media management, media relations, public or corporate communications, or similar experience
- Familiar with Sprout Social or other social media management platforms, or the ability to learn
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with the ability to edit content in alignment with AP and internal guidelines
- Ability to gain trust and confidence among key stakeholders
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, think strategically and work proactively in a fast-paced, high-volume, creative and deadline-driven environment
- Comfortable developing presentations and speaking to groups
- Basic video editing experience
- Ability to travel 15-20%, including overnight travel
- Proficient in Sprout Social or other social media management platforms
- Basic website posting and design skills to be able to independently develop on-brand social media content
- Experience with design software such as Canva or Adobe
- General understanding or experience with agriculture and/or rural communities
- Experience working in the finance or banking industry
