Intern

AgWest Farm Credit is a member-owned financial cooperative that provides financing and related services to farmers, ranchers, agribusinesses, commercial fishermen, timber producers, rural homeowners and crop insurance customers in a seven-state territory in the Western United States. We are in search of an Intern to join our Legal department in our Spokane, Washington, Headquarters location. This is a temporary position, reporting to the Associate General Counsel, that will learn from and assist the Legal team and our in-house corporate attorneys. This position is in-office and summer hours will be up to 40 per week. Compensation Information

$24.00 per hour

Job Requirements

• Assist with legal research and writing.
• Review documentation, procedures, and policies to ensure legal compliance with federal and state laws.
• Coordinate with employees across the organization, as well as external entities.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• 2L or 3L status with some interest in commercial or corporate law.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Completion of coursework in commercial law and business entities considered a plus.
