Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in various accounting software.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries for all accounting-related activities (AR, AP, cash, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, prepaids, intercompany, month-end accruals, etc.), while ensuring an accurate and timely completion of the process.
- Reconcile various general ledger accounts and bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Preparation and communication of financial information for company leaders, external tax accountants, insurance examiners, banking institutions, and insurance agencies.
- Maintain and update accounting systems and procedures.
- Support the Accounting team where needed.
- Perform additional administrative and accounting duties as assigned by Management.
Experience
- 2 years Business or Accounting degree plus 3-5 years of work experience preferred and/or the appropriate balance of education and work experience.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles.
- ERP software experience.
- Banking/cash management experience.
- A high degree of accuracy, strong attention to detail, strong analytical skills, ability to meet deadlines, and ability to work independently required.
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions.
- Skill in developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships.
- Possess strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel etc.).
- Tax compliance experience with sales and income taxes.
- Payroll and benefits experience.
- Business insurance knowledge.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
