- Assist in the setup and operation of manual machining equipment, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints to manufacture components.
- Support tool and die makers in fabricating, assembling, and repairing precision details.
- Perform basic machine maintenance, cleaning, and calibration tasks.
- Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Follow workplace safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with manufacturing teams to support production goals.
- Hands-on training with experienced machinists and tool & die makers.
- Exposure to real-world manufacturing challenges and problem-solving.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a technical school, vocational program, or college in Manufacturing, Machining, Tool & Die, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of machining processes and tools is preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on work.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety protocols.
- Familiarity with CNC programming and G-code is a plus.
- Experience with hand tools and machine shop equipment.
- Ability to solve problems and think critically in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- May be exposed to dust, debris, chemicals, and noise from operating machines.
- Standard physical hazards from moving equipment & machine parts.
- Standard industrial and manufacturing working conditions.
- May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb ladders
