Barista and Customer Service Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced food service setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer orders accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing recommendations and answering questions about menu items.
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies; assist in ordering as necessary.
• Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the highest quality of products served.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Experience

• Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred.
• Past experience in a coffee shop or similar setting.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change accurately.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
• Current food handles license is required.
• Flexible schedule in order to cover additional shifts, as needed.
