What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Dispatcher - 2nd Shift - Full Time position at AHC Hospitality?
$18.00-20.00/hour starting pay rate (depending on experience). This is a full time position with 2nd shift hours. Weekend availability required.

SUMMARY
Acts as the communication point for the security department calls for service. Respond rapidly to requests for emergency and non-emergency assistance in a professional manner. Records significant detail information into the incident management software program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for handling emergency and non-emergency calls while recording detailed information into the incident management system.
- Provide gracious hospitality towards all customers. Be highly familiar and adhere to all policies, procedures and standards.
- Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance.
- Effectively handle any radio communications security related incidents which arise on shift.
- Ensure compliance with hotel and security SOP/LSOP
- Enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities, and other information.
- Assist with the responsibility of Key control systems.
- Assist all associates with questions, problems which might occur.
- Create a productive and positive atmosphere throughout the hotel; have a good relationship with all associates and other departments.
- Be a problem seeker and solver.
- Ensure that work area is always clean, neat and organized.
- Attend and participate in meetings on a monthly basis.
- Ensure that all safety and security supplies are well maintained.
- Complete work or special projects as assigned and make sure to meet due dates.
- They must be an effective communicator, organized, can remain calm during stressful situations, and have superior multi-tasking skills.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report to work on time with proper uniform, including name tag. Personal appearance must comply with the standard uniform of the hotel.
- Check the information AYS board, daily event sheet, be informed about daily operations.
- Check with your immediate supervisor for additional information.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of the products, including hotel rooms, type of rooms, amenities, services of hotels, etc.
- Develop knowledge about frequent guests and their special requests and needs.
- Be familiar with cultural differences in order to meet all different customer needs.
- Have PMS and Saflok skills, Security systems and Fire Systems.
- Be knowledgeable about etiquette and protocols.
- Be familiar with all emergency plans and be able to act upon them.
- Use your PMS password with discretion; always log off terminal when not working. Control that all associates are also doing that.
- Have a good knowledge about the city and the environment.
- Report any unusual occurrences immediately to the Asst. Rooms Division Manager.
- Knowledge of Marriott and AHC’s Loss Prevention Standard Operating Procedures
- At all times strive to represent the AHC in the most professional, courteous manner.
- Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, upward reaching and lifting 50 pounds are required for this position.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to sit and work at a desk for upwards of 8 hours.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Vehicle operator’s license: Michigan Driver’s License, 3 points or less
AED/CPR/1st Aid Training preferred
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Fire, Police or Security related experience is preferred.
