Compliance Coordinator will report to the Compliance Manager and will work in collaboration with the Property Managers. They will be responsible for annual and unscheduled recertification's within the affordable rental portfolio. They will process housing applications in accordance with AHEAD’s Tenant Selection Plan. They will also work collaboratively with the management team to ensure proper file compliance standards are being followed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
§ Prepare and verify the entire affordable portfolio recertification documents.
§ Adhere to all applicable state, federal, and funding agency rules, policies, procedures, and regulations always.
§ Maintain resident and applicant confidentiality.
§ Monthly applicant purging to maintain a neat and organized file cabinet system.
§ Provide resources to both applicants and residents for housing and lease compliance needs.
§ Assist in file management and other duties assigned.
§ Complete required Fair Housing Training on an annual basis.
§ Complete EIV annual training.
§ Obtain Certified Occupancy Specialist certification within one year.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
N/A, this employee does not supervise others.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High school diploma.
Experience:
Prior experience in property management is a plus, but not required.
Driver’s License and Reliable Transportation Required:
Yes

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Minimum three years’ experience in office administration. Experience working directly with elderly and persons with disabilities, banking, or real estate preferred. Must obtain COS certificate within two years of start date.
Other requirements are the ability to work well with people from all walks of life and to communicate well both verbally and in writing. The employee who holds this position must be very organized and be able to work without constant direct supervision. This employee must be self- motivated.
