JOB SUMMARY :
The Warehouse Lead for Outbound is responsible for the organization and storage of outgoing orders and inventory. They are in charge of overseeing progress toward targeted department goals and coaching team members as needed. Successful completion of assigned duties will ensure efficient operation of the warehouse and the flow of workload to the production floor and shipping area.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
None
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
Ability to complete any aspect of a Warehouse Associate task or assignment
Assists with problem-solving any discrepancies encountered by a warehouse associate during picking or packing orders
Initiates load moves when there is not enough inventory in a picking location and completes a cycle count to update WMS
Hands in any completed load moves to supervisor at the end of shift for inventory review
Retrieves PLOs from other warehouse transfers and completes count verification, staging process, and proper packing for completed orders to distribute to the shipping dept.
Completes a Ready Report on WMS to prepare and transport completed blank orders from the CON01 staging area
Acts as a liaison between warehouse and production floor, separating picked orders appropriately by department
Any other assigned tasks provided by the supervisor
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES :
Experience with leading a team in a warehouse environment
Exceptional communication skills
Excellent problem-solving techniques
Strong attention to detail
Knowledge and operation of the WMS computer program and utilizing an RF Unit
Ability to use the following tools and machinery.
Forklift
Hand truck
Pallet jack
Must be able to operate (or train on) Order Picking Machine / Cherry Picker.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Warehouse experience preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to reach and use hands, fingers, and arms.
Ability to move about the facility.
Ability to climb, bend, kneel and crouch
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
Exposure to moderate noise level.
VISION REQUIREMENT :
Close and distance vision.
Color vision.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT :
Closed-toe footwear is required when entering the Production Floor (as needed).
Safety Glasses (as needed).
Safety Harness (as needed).
SCHEDULE :
7 : 00 am 3 : 30 pm Monday Friday with Overtime (Saturday 7 am-noon) as required
