JOB SUMMARY :
The Senior Graphic Designer is an enthusiastic storyteller with a history of design excellence, curiosity, and problem-solving abilities. Their passion for market trends in color, typography, graphic design, and sport will drive forward the visual aesthetic of the Ahead brand. This role requires a teammate who collaborates and translates market insights into original, compelling custom apparel product in the Golf, Collegiate, and Resort markets. With their experience in a production art setting, the Senior Graphic Designer will work directly with our Production Art members and our Manufacturing Team to ensure new concepts are communicated and designed to meet efficiencies. This position is responsible for ensuring quality and on-time delivery in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Produce a wide variety of headwear and apparel graphics to support seasonal catalogs and line releases as well as daily speculative graphic requests within the Golf, Collegiate and Resort channelsGenerate original custom apparel graphics for key customers and eventsAct as lead for graphic development on high-concept, specialty, and custom-built headwearCommunicate, present and brainstorm with sales reps and customers at all levelsIdeate new decoration techniques and re-invent existing processesAct as mentor and provide constructive feedback to peers as well as production artPhoto concepting, retouching, editing, and manipulationCreate original catalog, signage, and print advertisement layoutsExecute social media contentREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
Proficient in Adobe IllustratorKnowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign and other relevant software and systems preferredIllustrative abilities highly preferredKnowledge of headwear and apparel decoration techniquesA deep understanding of typography, color theory, brand identity, and design principlesPassion and understanding of current headwear and apparel market trendsAbility to translate cultural and market shifts to compelling graphic and product storiesExcellent visual, verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multi-task under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentAbility to balance and meet competing project deadlinesAbility to act as lead on projects involving coworkersGreat problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsMust possess initiative, energy, and driveAbility to embrace diverse points of view while fostering an environment of inclusivityAbility to maintain good working relationships with co-workers and leadershipEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design / Illustration requiredMinimum 4 years of experience in a graphic design roleExperience in a production art setting preferredPHYSICAL DEMANDS :
