What are the responsibilities and job description for the Core Support position at AHF Products?

AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Core Support to be located in Somerset, KY. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Core Support is responsible for performing all positions in the Veneer Mill including but not limited to Glue Spread Lay-Up, Panel Repair, Trim Saw, Press, Glue Mix, Forklift, etc. The Core Support will float to various positions according to staffing needs.
JOB DUTIES:
Always follow all safety guidelines in order to eliminate accidental injury.
Maintain property, plant, and equipment to support and improve the safe production and performance of operations.
Participate in Continuous Improvement and provide suggestions to improve processes and participate in team projects.
Perform the following jobs as needed:
Glue Spread Lay-Up
Press Operator
Glue Mix Operator
Press Loader
Forklift Operator
Trim Saw Operator
Dogwood Press
Assist Lead by running the press operations through breaks and lunch.
Band the recycled pallets in proper counts and place in storage.
Assist press loader off-load the press and haul plywood to the storage location.
Retrieve plywood pallets.
Haul core in from the warehouse and cut the bands.
Retrieve pecan shell/glue extra and ammonium.
Empty dumpsters.
Keep glue spreader set up with veneer.
When staffing allows, cross-train employees.
Assist leads on safe and quick changeovers.
Perform any other tasks as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check, employment verification and drug screening.
Positive and Verifiable Work History.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Frequently push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50lbs.
Continuous walking, standing, stretching, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, grasping and repetitive movements
Frequently talk, hear, read, write and comprehend the English language
Frequently work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
Frequently work near moving mechanical parts.
Must be able to work in constant, moderate noise, up to 83 decibels.
