What are the responsibilities and job description for the Edger Operator position at AHF Products?

JOB DUTIES:
- Operating Edger to machine boards for maximum value while following production schedules based on species and thickness of material.
- Guides and monitors quality of boards produced.
- Communicate with head-saw operator and downstream employees.
- Run a control panel that controls flow of lumber.
- Assist with set up of saws.
- Perform any other work-related task deemed necessary by the mill management.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check, employment verification and drug screening.
- Positive and Verifiable Work History.
- Ability to work occasional overtime.
- Prior sawmill experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Embrace a safety-first attitude and a healthy respect for machinery.
- Prefer working with your hands.
- Prefer to be on your feet all day.
- You are punctual and reliable.
