AHF Products has a job opportunity for a R&D Intern in Crossville, TN. Reporting to the R&D Supervisor.
Job Duties
- Perform laboratory experiments involving various materials, formulas, and products under the supervision of the Director of R&D and R&D Process Engineer.
- Prepare reports of experimental and process results.
- Assist in data accumulation, analysis, and reporting.
- Execute short-term projects in process efficiency and improvement.
- With the support and guidance of the R&D Supervisor, Engineer, and Technician, utilize different pieces of industrial and small-scale equipment for product development support and physical properties testing.
- Complete assigned training and paperwork.
- Organize and maintain accurate records.
- Use PPE when required.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.
- Perform any other duties that may be required or assigned.
- Minimum Junior in college pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, and Excel)
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills in dealing with employees, management, and vendors
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must pass mandatory pre-employment drug test, physical, and criminal background check

- Frequent bending, climbing, lifting 50 plus lbs., walking/standing 8 hours per day. Must be able to lift large tiles from floor to counter height.
