AHL Healthcare Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable individual to join our team in Duluth, MN. AHL is a local provider of adult foster care, assisted living, and independent living skills services. This position is responsible for all aspects of accountants payable and various other accounting functions for AHL HealthCare and CPP Properties.
Job Responsibilities:
-Be able to perform all aspects of the accounts payable function;
-Review all invoices for appropriate approval and general ledger coding
-Print all accounts payable checks every two weeks; ensure checks are properly processed and mailed
-Be able to perform all aspects of Credit Card Statement reconciliations
-Send out monthly and mid-month CC statements
-Understand compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, Sales tax,etc.)
-Ensure all major major purchases and appliances are tracked by program
-Ensure all vehicles and vehicle repairs are tracked by vehicle
-Performs delegated duties within assigned time lines
-Follows company policy and procedures, including attendance policies and expectations
-Protects organization's value by keeping all client and company information confidential
-Assist with other bookkeeping and and accounts payable duties as assigned
-Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Accounting Degree from a 2-4 year college or university
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide
- Prior experience in accounting preferred.
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Prior experience with Quickbooks strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including data entry, sorting, creating and modifying spreadsheet
- Possess a Valid Driver's License
- Pass a MVR Check-with proof of insurance
- Must pass MNDHS BAckground Check
