Job Summary: The Treatment Director functions as the head of all operational facets of their individual program. This includes compliance with program licensing requirements, hiring, training, coordination and planning of recipient needs, supervision of staff, scheduling, development and implementation of staff training/meetings, recipient treatment planning, care coordination and behavioral management. This position requires a person with energy, organization, creativity and desire for improving the lives of others. The primary goal is to provide program oversight to strengthen the skills of staff and help recipients achieve treatment goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Interview and hire staff to meet program needs.
2. Provide direct supervision to program staff; completing evaluations, monitoring work performance and implementing corrective action if necessary.
3. Provide oversight to the program, monitoring that all company policies and procedures are being followed including day to day operations such as programming, menu, activity level, safety, cleanliness, etc.
4. Act as the Designated Coordinator for Department of Human Services (DHS) licensing requirements
5. Develop and/or ensure that there is an Individual Treatment Plan for each recipient and that goals are met.
6. Maintain confidentiality at all times. Maintain and role model healthy boundaries with staff and recipients.
7. Maintain professional contact with recipient's case managers, guardians, doctors, other service providers and extended support teams.
8. Assist with admission of new recipients.
9. Review and provide follow-up documentation on all incident reports, sending them to appropriate individuals (ie. Clinical Director, guardian, case manager, DHS, etc.)
10. Complete monthly, quarterly and annual paperwork/reporting and organize recipient team meetings as necessary for proper follow-through and safety. (ie. treatment plan development/revision, safety concerns, etc.)
11. Assist with discharge planning and/or transfer of recipients.
12. Available to work flexible hours and have availability on-call as needed.
Qualifications:
1. A baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, and 1-year FT work experience* OR
2. An associate degree in a field related to human services, and 2 years FT work experience* OR
3. A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution, and 3 years FT work experience* OR
4. A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities AND 4 years FT work experience* under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualification identified in 1-3 above.
